RoHS Compliance Statement

Reference:

1. Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of January 27, 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
2. Directive 2003/11/EC, which amends Council Directive 76/769/EC to include pentabromodiphenyl ether and octabromodiphenyl ether.

AdTec Electroplating, AdTec II Barrel Electroplating, and Premier Plating have a long history of concern for environmental protection and strive to stay abreast of all environmental regulations that relate to our industry. This document is intended to inform our customers about the AdTec family's ability to provide electrodeposited and autocatalytic (electroless) finishes which are RoHS compliant.

AdTec Electroplating and its associated companies can, at customer request, provide electroplated finishes free of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers, pentabromodiphenyl ether and octabromodiphenyl ether. These chemicals are not intentionally added to the following plating finishes:

Copper Pur Bright Tin Pure Matte Tin Electrolytic Nickel (QQ-N-290) Platinum Hard Gold (ASTM Type I, II)

Ebanol Mid Phos Electroless Nickel (6-8%) Hi Phos Electroless Nickel (9-12%) Silver Rhodium Soft Gold (ASTM Type III)

As a long-established standard in the electroplating industry, the AdTec family will continue to supply high-quality tin lead finishes to our customers. Certification of RoHS compliance cannot be provided for this finish as it contains lead.

To the best of our knowledge and in compliance with their own certifications, none of our chemical or plating bath suppliers use these banned substances in their RoHS-compliant products, and

AdTec and its associated companies do not intentionally add these banned substances to their plating solutions. Trace amounts of any chemical or substance may be found as impurities in any plating solution, but will not affect a product's RoHS compliance.
